WHAT CAN I RUN FOR?

There are all kinds of jobs to do in your town. Serving as a local official can be hard, but it's often very rewarding work giving back to your community and meeting neighbors.

Your town clerk has a complete list of positions you can run for. Here's what we found:

Note: Open seats may be vacant or expiring but held by an incumbent. It's best to contact your Town Clerk to ask about the position. You may also want to consider contacting the incumbent officer to discuss their plans to either run or retire.

DO I NEED TO FILE?

Yes — candidates must file by the 6th Monday preceding the election (Monday, Jan. 27th, 2025). You'll need to collect up to 30 signatures for your nominating petition from local residents and complete a local office consent form.
